Start with drive time, not county lines

Orange County looks compact on a map, but traffic and appointment windows change labor economics. TLT handles approved job-material purchasing, so providers should price their own labor travel and provider-owned tools without adding material supply runs.

Match distance to job value

A same-day repair and a multi-week remodel should not use the same service radius. Smaller jobs generally need tighter routing; higher-value projects can justify a wider search area when the schedule supports it.

Protect response time

Only accept opportunity volume your team can contact promptly. A smaller, well-covered area usually creates a better customer experience than a wide territory with missed calls and late arrivals.

Review the map monthly

Track booked jobs, travel time, close rate, average labor payout, and callbacks by city. Expand where labor economics are healthy and reduce coverage where transportation consistently erodes margin.
